This is a vintage Easter egg diorama made of sugar and frosting. A wonderful memory of the past, especially for anyone with a Czech heritage. I have a few of these for sale, so please check my other listings. The egg is still in its original plastic wrapper and was made by Sfinx. It was made in Czechoslovakia for the U.S. market. It is a yellow color decorated with white frosting along the edges and with bright pink frosting flowers on top along with green frosting stems. NOTE: DO NOT EAT this egg as it is over 30 years old! It is only meant for decoration. The paper tag inside the wrapper has the following text: "Ingredients: Beet sugar, Dried Hen Albumen, U.S. Certified Colors - Net Wt. 1 oz Made in Czechoslovakia by Sfinx, Vsetuly" This egg was made prior to 1993 because at the end of 1992, Czechoslovakia split into Czech Republic and Slovakia. The egg was originally 15 cents, so based on that price, it is probably from much earlier than the 1990s. The egg is hollow and there are small paper litho characters inside, making a cute little scene. The two litho characters inside this egg are a young child and a rooster. Height: 2 inches Length: 3 inches Width: 2.25 inches Condition: This sugar egg has its original plastic wrapper on it and its original paper tag with the ingredients on it. There are a few places in the plastic wrap where it is starting to crack open. The egg and the frosting is in excellent shape. It comes from a pet free and smoke free home. This egg will be carefully packaged.
