Description

Price is for 1 piece of fabric 138cm x 100cm. A really beautiful vintage floral stretchy fabric with bright printed flowers on a black background on white fine knit synthetic jersey. colours include bright pinks, reds, yellow, mid-green, turquoise, sky blue, white, black, beige, khaki & orange. There is a band of elasticated smocking / shirring at the top which has been preshirred by machine. This measures approx. 20cm deep & each row of stitch is around 1.5cm apart. I can't see any obvious marks, wear or holes - please see photos for details as these form part of the description. Condition is vintage, unused & clean. Ideal for dressmaking, arts, crafts & interiors etc. the Back is white & shows the faint print design. the fabric is made from synthetic fibres but I’m not sure exactly what - possibly nylon or rayon mix? unsure of exact age but I think it is from the 1970’s. There may be some creasing which would come out with a gentle press. Medium weight fabric. This is a knitted fine gauge fabric with a one way stretch which goes down the length of the fabric. The direction of the knit runs across the fabric. Fine gauge approx. 44 rows per inch. Please note that photos show the whole fabric before being cut to size. Price is for 1 metre wide. If you would like more than 1 piece then the width increases by 1 metre.
