We enjoy coming up with some new ideas for holiday decorating--we especially like items that can span more than one holiday or occasion. These decorated eggs fit the bill--they can be used for Easter, welcome Spring, Mother's Day, and also serve well for guest gifts/mementos. They also look pretty and welcoming as bowl fillers or put just one or two in a niche. Easy to store ( love that part) and light weight. We were also looking to make a decorative item at a price that wouldn't break the bank for buyers who wanted a new decor item. We used a plastic egg as the base, covered it with paper twist ribbon ( glued in place). Then ribbon and lace added and a flourish finish with a few blossoms. Eggs are about 2 1/2 inches--standard plastic egg.
